Australian Films in the Valdivia International Film Festival

The Festival will have a special section on Australian cinema, where five Australian films will be shown, one on each day of the event.

The Australian Embassy will participate in the 14th edition of the Valdivia International Film Festival from 5-10 October 5 in the southern city of Valdivia.

This edition of the Festival will have a special section on Australian cinema, where five Australian films will be shown, one on each day of the Festival.

The Festival is recognized as one of the most significant cinematographic activities in Chile. And it is also a chance for new directors to show their movies and participate in the competitive sections of the festival. The winners receive the statuette of a golden Pudú, the traditional deer of the region, which is given on the closing day of the Festival.

The Valdivia International Film Festival is organised by the Universidad Austral de Chile, produced by Valdivia’s Cultural Centre for Cinematographic Promotion of the Municipalidad de Valdivia.
